PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple connecting device capable of strongly mounting a front basket, etc. on a head tube of a bicycle having various shapes according to the bicycle without special machining and with hardly obstructing movement of a brake wire, etc. moved by a handle bar operation of the bicycle. SOLUTION: U-shaped rod body 15 capable of saving a mounting space on the head tube and being simply and strongly fixed and having locking parts at both end parts is arranged on the head tube by avoiding a top tube and a bottom tube, etc. The head tube is held by a cantilever-shaped arm body elongated in an advancing direction to have a part completely swollen in a horizontal direction rather than the outline of the head tube in relation to the advancing direction of the bicycle and the rod body 15 so that movements of the brake wire, etc. may be made difficult to be hindered. This connecting device is fixed to the head tube by a locking piece. A mounting angle of the rod body 15 can be adjusted to facilitate closely adhering of the rod body 15 to the outlines of various sizes of head tubes 10. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
