PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC card capable of supporting operation in a high-speed protocol mode according to a terminal.

SOLUTION: The IC card configured to communicate with a terminal including a control part comprises a plurality of electric contacts and a memory storing information and communicable with the control part through the plurality of electric contacts. An available type of high-speed protocol mode is detected by the control part, and at least one set of the plurality of electric contacts are assigned by the control part so as to support the operation in the detected high-speed protocol mode.
