<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further increase the performance effect by a variable display of a plurality of patterns in a pinball game machine. <P>SOLUTION: When a game ball has entered a starting port 62, a winning/missing lottery is executed, and a special pattern indicating the result of the winning/missing lottery is variably displayed. A performance display-controlling means variably displays first performance patterns and second performance patterns. In this case, the first performance patterns include both of main images which become a part of information indicating the result of the winning/missing lottery at the time of stoppage, and subsidiary images which do not become a part of the information indicating the result of the winning/missing lottery. The second performance patterns include the subsidiary images only. The performance display-controlling means indicates the result of the winning/missing lottery by a combination of the first performance symbols which are stop-displayed.
