PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small wavelength conversion laser device in which the wavelength can be stabilized by sustaining a constant oscillation wavelength, even if the operating environment such as temperature changes without providing a mechanically movable portion. SOLUTION: The wavelength conversion laser device comprises a surface emission laser element 22 provided with a distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) on one surface thereof and emitting a first laser beam; a wavelength selection filter 24 passing the first laser beam; a nonlinear optical element 26 for converting the first laser beam into a second laser beam of harmonics; a liquid crystal cell 30 having liquid crystal 58 filling the gap between transparent electrodes 54a and 54b, and a reflector of dielectric multilayer film forming an optical resonator together with the distributed Bragg reflector 46 on one surface for changing the refractive index with a voltage applied to the liquid crystal; and a liquid crystal cell control circuit 32 for controlling an electric field applied to the liquid crystal cell, in order to change the wavelength of a laser beam of harmonics which resonates in the optical resonator.
