PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket to connect two connecting objects in which each terminal is hardly deformed excessively and each terminal is hardly pulled off from a housing when connecting the socket to the connecting objects. SOLUTION: A pair of terminal projection parts 2a are formed protruded at symmetry positions at the lower part of the circumference face in a housing 2 of nearly circular columnar shape to become a main body of the socket 1. A pair of lead terminal projection parts 2b are formed protruded at symmetry positions at the upper end face of the housing 2. A groove 2a1 for inserting a part of a metal terminal 6 in tangential direction of the circumference face of the housing is formed at the center of each terminal projection part. A through hole 2d in which the lead terminal of the lamp is inserted is formed from the center of each lead terminal projection part to the lower face of the housing. The metal terminal is constituted of a center part 6a, a soldering hole 6b, an elastic beam part 6c, a first fixing part 6d, and a second fixing part 6e.
