PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an edge of a cutout part partially provided on a cylinder bore lower edge from directly contacting a piston skirt part 23 due to bad lubrication. SOLUTION: This piston 1 is used for a double link type piston crank mechanism and an outer circumference part of a counter weight passes a space in a side of a pin boss part 24 around bottom dead center to secure large piston stroke. The cutout part is, therefore formed to avoid interference of the cylinder bore lower end and the counter weight, link members. A long narrow depression part 31 is provided on the skirt part 23 of the piston 1 in an up-and-down direction and the depression part 31 corresponds to an edge of an side edge along the cutout part in the up-and-down direction at bottom dead center.
