VEHICLE BODY LOWER PART STRUCTURE OF AUTOMOBILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain deformation of a pillar to the indoor side in side surface collision of a vehicle body lower part furnished with a clearance to insert a wire harness through between a pillar lower end of the vehicle body and a side part of a floor panel. SOLUTION: This vehicle body lower part structure of an automobile is constituted by providing the clearance S to insert the wire harness W through between a floor panel side part 11 a lower edge of which is connected to a locker part 2 by bending below a side edge of the floor panel 1 and setting a floor cross member 5 making a closed cross-section with the floor panel 1 at a position corresponding to the pillar 3 on a lower surface of the floor panel 1, the wire harness W is made to pass through the clearance S, a reinforcing member 4 to block the clearance S by closely fitting in the clearance S and a collision load working on a lower end of the pillar 1 in the side surface collision of the vehicle is received by a rigid part of the floor panel 1 reinforced by the floor cross member 5 through the reinforcing member 4.
