PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for autonomously assembling a component on a base material using DNA. SOLUTION: The method for assembling the component comprises a process for carrying a group of first DNA single-chains (13a) including a first DNA single-chain (12a) on the base material (10), a process for carrying a group of a second DNA single-chains (23a) including a second DNA single-chain (22a) having a complementary relation with the first DNA single-chain (12a) on the component (20), and a process for fixing the component (20) on the base material (10) based on hydrogen bonding of the first DNA single-chain (12a) carried by the base material (10) and the second DNA single-chain (22a) carried by the component (20).
