<p>A method for coating a golf club striking face which has a predetermined roughness and maintains the roughness until a long service life of a golf club is expired is provided. A golf club comprises a striking surface having a metal bond carbide coating layer applied to at least a portion thereof by high-speed flame spraying, wherein the golf club secures a coating layer roughness(Ra) of 1.4 to 1.9 mum when the carbide particles have a particle size of 0.6 to 3 mum. In a method of manufacturing a golf club comprising a striking surface having a metal bond carbide coating layer applied to at least a portion thereof by high-speed flame spraying, wherein the golf club secures a coating layer roughness(Ra) of 1.4 to 1.9 mum when the carbide particles have a particle size of 0.6 to 3 mum, the method comprises using ethylene as a combustion gas and cooling the golf club using carbon dioxide.</p> |
