<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system using a liquid fuel in which deterioration due to abnormal heat generation and side-reaction of the power generating cell at the time of operation stop is prevented, and the fuel cell is stably operated for a long time. <P>SOLUTION: The operation control circuit 130, when detecting operation stop of a power generating cell 110 which generates power by receiving supply of fuel F from a fuel cartridge 120, stops supply of fuel F to the power generating cell 110 by closing a fuel valve 122, connects a load circuit 140 to an output terminal 115, and makes consume the power generated by a remaining fuel F in the power generating cell 110 by the load circuit 140, and cuts off the load circuit 140 from the power generating cell 110 at the time when the remaining fuel in the power generating cell 110 becomes a prescribed amount or less. Thereby, deterioration due to heat generation and side-reaction of the remaining fuel in the power generating cell 110 is prevented and the fuel cell can be stably operated for a long time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
