PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television unit which achieves a higher luminous efficiency and a lower power consumption by the use of luminescent elements utilizing inorganic compounds as luminous materials. SOLUTION: The television unit has a primary passivation film attached on a substrate, a primary electrode attached on the primary passivation film, an inorganic EL layer attached on the primary electrode, a secondary electrode attached on the inorganic EL layer, and a secondary passivation film attached on the secondary electrode.
