摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit and a method for detecting a synchronous mode in a semiconductor memory device by which a synchronous mode can be distinguished from a non-synchronous mode by enabling a synchronous mode signal when a clock is input and disabling a synchronous mode when the clock is not input, in the circuit and method for the detecting synchronous mode in the semiconductor memory device. SOLUTION: The synchronous mode detecting circuit of the semiconductor memory device includes: a first signal combining part generating a reference signal by combining a valid address signal and a clock; a first latch part latching the reference signal; a second signal combining part generating a detection pulse signal by combining the output signal of the first latch part and the clock; a control part controlling driving of the detection pulse signal according to whether or not the valid address signal is enabled; a driving part driving the detection pulse signal according to control of the control part; and a latch part latching the signal driven by the driving part and outputting a synchronous mode signal.
