PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device which can perform operation inspection for a temperature sensor installed in the electronic device in a short time and appropriately. SOLUTION: A display device 300 comprises the temperature sensor 308 which detects the temperature of an internal VDP 304, outputs a warning signal when the detected temperature is no less than a warning temperature, and does not output the warning signal when the detected temperature is less than the warning temperature, a CPU 301 which sets a temperature which is higher than a present detected temperature to be the warning temperature at the temperature sensor 308 and sets a temperature which is lower than the present detected temperature to be the warning temperature at the temperature sensor 308, and a liquid crystal panel 307 which displays information on the output of the warning signal when the higher temperature is set and when the lower temperature is set.
