PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of reinforcing a banking used for existing building lots and roads capable of reinforcing at relatively low cost without affecting valley and wetland burying banking part. SOLUTION: In this method of reinforcing the banking for burying the existing valley and wetland buried with sandy soil, drain pipes are installed at the banking part at predetermined intervals. A vibration generator is disposed on the surface of the banking. A small vibration not substantially producing the change of density in the sandy soil, for example, the vibration of approximately 5×10<SP>-4</SP>to 2×10<SP>-3</SP>in strain level of the ground is repeatedly given to the banking by approximately 10,000 times or more to increase the rigidity and the strength of the ground.
