PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion type power tool saving on resources of combustible gas and a battery and improving the safety. SOLUTION: The combustion type power tool is provided with a stopper 60, which works to be switched between an inhibit position for inhibiting the movement of a connecting member 12 connected to a push lever 10 during non-operation and a release position for enabling movement of the connecting member 12 during operation. A power supply switch 106 interlocking with the stopper 60 is provided between an ignition control device 110 and the battery 100, whereby when the stopper 60 is located in the inhibit position, the power is turned off, and when it is located in the release position, the power is turned on.
