PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To be able to take out power of a levelling rotor from the end of a planting distributor shaft without losing lateral weight balance at a planting unit. SOLUTION: A riding type rice transplanter is equipped with a planting distributor shaft 20 along lateral direction, a planting mechanism 18 which acts to plant by power taken out of the planting distributor shaft 20 and a lateral feeding shaft 24 which carries out a lateral feeding action of a seedling stand 16 by the power taken out of the planting distributor shaft 20 in a planting unit 7 connected to the rear part of a travelling machine body 1, and, in addition, a levelling rotor 28 constituted in a shape of series along lateral direction in the front side of the planting unit 7. In the riding type transplanter, the lateral feeding shaft 24 is biasedly installed to one end side of the planting distributor shaft 20, a power out put unit 31 for the levelling rotor is installed to the other end side of the planting distributor shaft 20 and the power of the levelling rotor 28 is taken out of the planting distributor shaft 20 through a clutch mechanism 32 for the levelling rotor 28.
