PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice transplanter free from hindrance to the work on a step of a rear vehicle cover, and enabling the recovery of posture of the worker even if losing the balance in work and the support of the body in the getting-on and off of the rice planter. SOLUTION: A planting apparatus 4 for multiple row planting is attached to the back of a rice transplanter 1, and a rear vehicle cover 12 to form the floor 12a and the step 12b around the driver's seat 13 is placed on a vehicle frame 3. Assist bars 60L, 60R are placed at the back of the rear vehicle cover 12 and the height of the assist bars 60L, 60R is made to be equal to the height of the upper end of a fertilizing machine in the case of using a fertilizing machine. The transplanter is further provided with auxiliary steps 61L, 61R for riding on the floor 12a of the rear vehicle cover 12, and the assist bars 60L, 60R are extended close to the auxiliary step at a side of the rear vehicle cover 12.
