A thermal head and a printer device are provided to print in high speed and high quality with reducing power consumption by making thermal efficiency and response property good. A printer device(1) includes a thermal head(2), a platen(5), an ink ribbon(3), a plurality of ribbon guides(6a,6b), a print medium(4), a pinch roller(7a), a capstan roller(7b), a deliver roller(8), and a transfer roller(9). The platen is installed facing against the thermal head. The guides guide the ink ribbon. The pinch roller and the capstan roller move the print medium between the thermal head and the platen. The deliver roller delivers the print medium after printing. The transfer roller transfers the print medium to a side of the thermal head. The thermal head includes a rigid substrate and a flexible substrate. A control circuit of the thermal head is installed on the rigid substrate. The flexible substrate electrically connects the thermal head to the rigid substrate.
