<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate the type of video signal in a display device with high accuracy, using a common input terminal for inputting different video signals. <P>SOLUTION: The display apparatus includes an input terminal 3 in which an analog RGB signal and a component video signals are input; synchronization signal separation section 8, configured to separate a synchronization signal from a video signal entered to the input terminal 3; an input signal processing section 11 that measure the frequencies of the synchronization signals and a control section 1, that discriminates the video signal input in the input terminal 3 from the type of the synchronization signal separated by the synchronization signal separation section 8 and the frequencies measured by the input signal processing part 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
