<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the over-revolutions of a motor where the motor of an electric motor four-wheel drive vehicle exceeds target revolutions, without causing a trouble by heat and while achieving the improvement of energy efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: In the over-revolutions of the motor where the revolutions Nm of the motor exceed the target revolutions tNm in S21, the motor is put into a regenerative braking state by three-phase short circuit to generate electric power (a voltage Viv) in S22. When it is determined that the voltage Viv generated by the motor exceeds 14.7V in S23, that the load of vehicular electrical components is applied in S25, and that a battery voltage Bi is 10V or lower in S26, the voltage generated by the motor is supplied to the generator as a field current Ifh of the generator in S27. In S28, the field current Ifh is controlled to a value so as to generate electric power of 14.7V by the generator.
