<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of remote control, capable of providing the sense of safety to a user by allowing, in a case such that a certain specific operation switch becomes inoperable by any cause, operation of the operation switch if it is in ON state. <P>SOLUTION: This device comprises one or more operation switches 13 and 14 for instructing inversion of ON/OFF state of various functions of external equipment 1 provided on a remote control 2, a transmitting means 6 for transmitting information of the external equipment 1 provided on the external equipment 1 to the remote control 2, and an operability determination means for individually determining whether the operation switches 13 and 14 are operable or not provided on the remote control 2.
