PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document management system which prints an electronic document from a document management system, performs a task on the basis of the printed paper document, and re-registers the paper document to the document management system that can print an instruction document attached by attribute information on the document together with the document. SOLUTION: In the document management system, an electronic document storage means stores the electronic document and attribute information on the electronic document, instructs the electronic document printing, creates the instruction document in which the attribute information on the electronic document can be extracted by an image input device, and prints the instruction document before or after the electronic document is printed in accordance with the printing instruction.
