PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To read both of an image on an original and another image with a different wavelength range from that of the image on the original by scanning the original only once. SOLUTION: A CCD image sensor 59 reads an image of a carried original by sequentially switching lighting of white LEDs and infrared ray LEDs. A pre-processing section 100 separates first to third data obtained by reading into first to third visible data acquired at the lighting of the white LEDs and first to third infrared ray data at the lighting of the infrared ray LEDs. An infrared ray post-processing section 200 arranges the first to third infrared ray data into one infrared ray data, and acquires an invisible image on the original and identification information included in the invisible image from the infrared ray data. On the other hand, a visible ray post-processing section 300 respectively applies image processing to the first to third visible data and provides outputs of the result as image information (blue data, green data, red data).
