PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save an image forming material by reducing color components under the condition of suppressing deterioration in image quality. SOLUTION: An image forming device has a reduction mode for saving the image forming material. The device is provided with an image input device 11 for inputting image data to be image-formed, an image processor 12 for converting the inputted image data to an output color space, and an image output device 13 for forming an image by using the image forming material on the basis of the image data subjected to conversion processing by the image processor 12. The image processor 12 is composed so as to save the color components of n+m-th color (n and m are an integer of≥1) not dominant to dominant n-th color (n is an integer of≥1) in the image data to be converted.
