PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a node and an CID (channel identifier) allocating method in the node which can flexibly perform CID allocation while avoiding competition. SOLUTION: In allocating a CID in two opposite nodes 101 connected to a network, the value of a CID to be allocated next time is transmitted to the opposite side node, and a CID in this node and a subsequent CID are decided in a CID deciding section 204, in addition to the value of CID to be allocated next time which is received in a receiver 201 and transmitted from the opposite side node and an already allocated CID.
