PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve consistency between memory data for management and actual data even when the price is paid back in cash for return of a merchandise paid in a settlement other than the cash. SOLUTION: Data for commercial transaction designated by a transaction designation means is called from a data storage part for accumulating and storing the data for the past commercial transaction. When individual cancellation for the called merchandise sale data, processed in the commercial transaction, is instructed, whether the category for settling the commercial transaction is cash settlement or not is determined. When determined as other than the cash settlement, the category for settling the commercial transaction is changed to the cash settlement. All the merchandise sale data for the commercial transaction, in which the category for the settlement is changed to the cash settlement, is retroactively processed for correction, and the merchandise sale data excluding the one for the individual cancellation, from the called merchandise sale data processed in the transaction, is processed as the data for the cash settlement.
