REMAINING BATTERY CHARGE DETECTION CIRCUIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remaining battery charge detection circuit capable of reducing current consumption and accurately detecting the remaining battery charge of a battery. SOLUTION: The remaining battery charge detection circuit comprises a current detection means 123 for detecting charge and discharge currents of the battery 102; remaining charge measuring means 112 and 113 for measuring the remaining charge of the battery 102 by integrating the charge and discharge currents at first time intervals when the charge and discharge currents detected by the current detection means 123 take on a prescribed value or less and at second time intervals shorter than the first time intervals when the charge and discharge currents exceed the prescribed value; and an interrupt signal generating means 116 for instructing the remaining charge measuring means 112 and 113 to measure remaining battery charge by generating interrupt signals when the charge and discharge currents exceed the reference value.
