PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor capable of reducing cost by the reduction of the thickness of a plate of an earth terminal 102 and achieving high productivity while preventing the intrusion of paint into a screw 103 securely. SOLUTION: This compressor has the earth terminal 102 having the screw 103 increased in its wall thickness and a rubber-made earth cap 105 fitted into the earth terminal 102 before painting. The earth cap 105 has an opening 106 at one end and a cavity 107 storing at least the screw 103. The wall thickness 108 of the opening is larger than wall thickness 109 of the cavity, and the inner width 110 of the cavity is smaller than the thickness 104 of the screw of the earth terminal 102 so that sealing at two steps including the tightening and sealing of a thin-walled part of the earth terminal 102 on the inner side plane of the opening 106 and the nipping and sealing of the screw 103 on the inner side plane of the cavity 107 become possible to prevent the intrusion of paint into the screw 103 of the earth terminal 102 securely.
