PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve transport efficiency in a dust container transport device for a building, which transports garbage containers by dropping them inside a vertical transport pipe. SOLUTION: Two or more opening/closing block devices (having an intermediate lid 3 or a bottom lid 5) for blocking pass-through of the dust container 6 and air inside the vertical transport pipe 1, are arranged at positions below at least one throw-in device 2 at a different height from each other. Sensors 8, 9 and 12 are provided so as to detect existence of dust containers in each of sections N1-Nn partitioned by the block devices, and dust container throw-in operation of the throw-in device and opening/closing operation of the block device are controlled based on detecting signals of the sensors so that only one dust container is received in one section. As a result, two or more dust containers can be transported at the same time through one vertical transport pipe, and transport efficiency is thereby improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
