PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a correction such that a deterioration of an image in a boundary part of a liquid droplet ejection unit becomes inconspicuous. SOLUTION: An error absorbing nozzle 222 is provided on the outside of each of nozzle areas 124A and 124B so that the boundary part between adjacent head units 114A and 114B can adjoin a joint part 220. A line-direction nozzle interval m between the error absorbing nozzles 222 is set shorter than a line-direction nozzle interval M between ordinary nozzles 122. When white streaks appear, an ink droplet is also ejected from the error absorbing nozzle 222, so as to eliminate the white streaks. Furthermore, the image, which is obtained by using the error absorbing nozzle 222, enables more gradation expressions than an image which is obtained by using the ordinary nozzle 122.
