PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting device for minimizing dimensional error of a cut material, and a method of manufacturing magnetic recording tape using it. SOLUTION: The cutting device includes a pair of a thin blade group and a thick blade group having rotating shafts, respectively, wherein while a wide belt-like material is conveyed, it is cut to a plurality of belt-like materials having a predetermined width, the thin blade group includes an annular disk-like blade and a spacer, and the dimensions of each thin blade are set into a proper range.
