PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a face milling cutter, increasing the feed to achieve high efficiency and improving the surface roughness of finished surface in roughening or finishing or simultaneous face milling cutting. SOLUTION: In this face milling cutter 1, a plurality of roughening tips 10 and at least one finishing tip 20 are removably mounted on the outer peripheral part of the tip of the tool body 2. An approach angleψof a main cutting blade 11 formed on the top ridge part of the roughening tip 10 shaped substantially like regular polygonal plate ranges from 60°to 80°, a sub-cutting blade 12 formed on the top corner part is extended substantially at right angles to the axis Cl of the tool body 2, and on the other hand, a flat drag 22 formed on the top corner part of the finishing tip 20 shaped substantially like regular polygonal plate is extended substantially at right angles to the axis CL and also projected from the sub-cutting blade 12 toward the tool tip part. The top corner part of the roughening tip 10 is provided with a second sub-cutting blade 13 of a symmetrical shape with respect to a bisector B of the corner part to the above sub-cutting blade 12.
