PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve productivity of post-treatment for folded paper sheets. SOLUTION: In a forming and cutting unit 50, a forming unit 125 flattens the back of sheaf 2 of paper sheets while the sheaf 2 of folded paper sheets is positioned by a stopper 166 and put in a predetermined position. A movable blade 52 cuts the edges of the sheaf 2 of paper sheets while the sheaf 2 of the folded paper sheets are still in that position. In this case, a cutting presser unit 55 holds the sheaf 2 of paper sheets after the back of the sheaf 2 of the paper sheets is flattened by the forming unit 125. After the sheaf 2 of paper sheets is held by the cutting presser unit 55, the movable blade 52 cuts the edge of the sheaf 2 of paper sheets. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
