<p>A navigation device capable of road display clear and easily understandable to the user. The navigation device is suitably used as a navigation device for a mobile body such as a vehicle and has display means, route search means, and control means. The display means displays map information on a display screen. The route search means searches, for example, for a route up to a destination set by the user and displays the result on the display screen. The control means always displays on the display screen the names of roads on the route and the names of roads outside the route which cross the route, displaying the name of each road in horizontal writing while pointing the road. Thus, the navigation device can perform road display clear and easily understandable to the user.</p> |
