PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability in the maintenance of an engine and its peripheral equipment by turning the front side of a driver seat upward so as to expose equipment such as the engine. SOLUTION: A revolving frame 5 of an upper structure 3 is provided with a supporting frame body 18 which comprises console mounting parts 18A and 18B, an opening 18C, etc. The opening 18C of the supporting frame body 18 is provided with the opening/closing type driver seat 19, the front side of which is vertically turned in such a manner that a rear side serves as a supporting point. In the maintenance of a vehicle, the driver seat 19 is turned upward and opened, so that the front side of the engine 7, and the equipment such as a starter 10, an alternator 11 and an electrical component 12 can be exposed. Thus, the respective pieces of equipment, which are positioned on the front side of the engine 7, can be easily exposed over a wide range, and maintenance work for the pieces of equipment can be efficiently performed.
