The elevator plant has central facility by which the number of persons using the elevator, if necessary also the travel authority, also the routes are determined. The elevator has a device (3) e.g. card reader, chip identification device or an identification system and/or storage (5). The data recall station is provided, which serves as an individual cost debit entry or a cost input by the selection of the route in advance or during the journey or after the use, by electronic means.
