The device (1) has inner and outer longitudinal tubes (2, 3) movable relative to each other in a longitudinal direction. A trapping unit (10) runs within the inner longitudinal tube. A distal end of the trapping unit is guided through an opening (7) of a sleeve, where a unit in the sleeve made of a nickel-titanium-alloy is designed as a wire or a flat belt and is embedded into a biocompatible sleeve material. The trapping unit is brought to a distal end of the device in a trapping position by withdrawing the outer tube with respect to the inner tube towards a proximal end of the device. An independent claim is also included for a sleeve for an application in an application device.
