<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve size/cost reduction of the whole reformer with respect to a reformer constituting a fuel cell system without deteriorating a catalyst or reducing reliability/durability. <P>SOLUTION: The reformer comprises: a reforming gas passage 29 having a heater 29a disposed between a cooling section 22 and a CO shift section 23 to heat the cooling section 22 and the CO shift section 23; a temperature sensor 23e for detecting a first temperature which is the temperature of one part from a downstream side of the heater 29a to the inlet port of the CO shift section 23; a temperature sensor 22a for detecting a second temperature which is the temperature of the reforming raw material inlet port of the cooling section 22; and a controller, wherein the temperature sensors 23e, 22a are configured separately from the heater 29a. The controller controls the actuation of the heater 29a based on the first and second temperatures detected by the temperature sensors 23e, 22a, respectively, in start-up operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
