<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate automatically geometrical parameters of an X-ray CT apparatus without visual judgement of an image. <P>SOLUTION: The X-ray CT apparatus reads projection data acquired by imaging a wire phantom (S11), sets an initial value and a repetition range of a rotation center channel as geometrical parameters (S12 and S13), generates a reconstituted image of the wire phantom (S14), extracts a region containing the wire phantom from the reconstituted image (S15), and determines and stores the length of the region as a characteristic value (S16 and S17). The X-ray CT apparatus then updates the value of the rotation center channel and repeats S14-S18 to search a geometrical parameter which gives an optimum characteristic value (S110). The optimum characteristic value thus acquired is determined to be an adjustment parameter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
