PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an obstacle detector of power supply in which a decision is made that a power supply is faulty when variation in output voltage from a power supply (voltage load variation) exceeds a predetermined threshold by supplying a current periodically to a power supply place, and to provide an obstacle detection program and method. SOLUTION: The obstacle detector of power supply comprises a central processor (400), a power supply (44), a power supply place (430) where a current is supplied from the power supply, a means (441) for supplying a current repeating on/off periodically from the power supply to the power supply place by accessing the power supply place periodically from the central processor, and a means (45) for judging the power supply is faulty when the output voltage from the power supply exceeds a predetermined threshold.
