PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flat cable of a structure enabled to prevent damage or scratching at mounting. SOLUTION: Margin portions 14a (14b) of a given width made of insulation sheets 11 are provided at either end of the cable 12 in a width direction consisting of conductive wires 21a (21b) and the insulation sheet 11 pinching and covering the conductive wires 21a (21b). At a part where the cable and another section interfere with each other at mounting, a plurality of break lines 16 are torn apart for one side of the margin portions 14a (14b), the margin portion 14a (14b) at a part located between the torn-apart break lines 16 is folded to form a folded-up part 18, and the folded part 18 and the other section are to be in contact with each other.
