The surgical endoscopic instrument (1) has an elongated shank (3), where a HF-charged electrode is arranged at its distal end and a main body (4) is arranged at its proximal end. The switch (12) is arranged at plug (9) and the main body has an uncouplable plug of a cable (10) guided to a HF generator (11) and a switch. The HF generator and switch are attached over a control lead (16) at the HF generator.
