A cart and carrier (4) for medical equipment, whereby the carrier (4) is devised with a bottom section (20) and a back section (16) and a pair of wheels (18) is arranged on an axle at the junction between the bottom section (20) and the back section (16), said axle functioning as a pivot axle and the back section (16) as a lever for lifting the entire bottom section (20) off the floor when the carrier (4) is moved, are disclosed. Smooth and convenient interaction between the cart and carrier is achieved because the cart (2) is devised with a receiving part (14) and a first locking part (12), and the carrier (4) is devised with a coupling means (26) and a second locking part (24). The coupling means (26) can be inserted into the receiving part (14) and serves as a pivot axle for the carrier (4). The carrier (4) locks to the cart (2) when the second locking part (24) is moved towards the first locking part (12) when the carrier (4) is lifted around the pivot axle.
