<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the consumption of a battery resulting from the reception of e-mail in a portable mobile terminal. <P>SOLUTION: The portable mobile terminal 10 has a mail acquisition mode setting means 12 and receives e-mail in a manual acquisition mode or an automatic acquisition mode. In the manual acquisition mode, the portable mobile terminal 10 once receives only a header part of the e-mail, and if needed, a user later gives an instruction to acquire the text. In the automatic acquisition mode, the portable mobile terminal 10 simultaneously acquires the header part and the text if the residual amount of the battery is equal to or more than a threshold, and shifts to the manual acquisition mode to first receive only the header part if the residual amount of the battery is less than the threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
