AUTOMATIC TRANSACTION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce failures in biometric authentication by utilizing a registration state of a biological information registered in a storage medium.

SOLUTION: An automatic transaction device includes: an operation part 3 which displays a picture of guidance necessary for transactions and allows input of user's selection accompanying a transaction; an IC card read part 4 which reads information stored in an IC card; a biological information authentication mechanism part 9 which acquires biological information of the user; and a control part 2 which controls these parts to perform the transaction selected by the operation part. The control part 2 uses biological information recorded in the IC card read by the IC card read part 4 and biological information acquired by the biological information authentication mechanism part 9 to perform authentication processing of the user and, in the case of a failure in authentication processing, displays a picture showing trouble of a set state of a user's biological part set to the biological information authentication mechanism part 9, on the operation part 3 to perform such control that biological information should be acquired again by the biological information authentication mechanism part 9 to repeat the authentication processing.
