PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synchronizing device of a transmission, which secures a speed changing operation by smooth and stable turning synchronization in a speed changing operation without causing the deterioration of the synchronizing performance for a long time. SOLUTION: In a speed changing operation, when a coupling sleeve 1 slides on a synchronizer hub 5, the coupling sleeve 1 engages with a balk-ring 4 or 4' with a turning synchronization operation, and engages with a clutch gear 3 or 3' by a sliding movement, and then the speed changing operation is finished. A guide rail mechanism 9 is provided between the coupling sleeve 1 and the synchronizer hub 5 so as to suppress the tilting of the coupling sleeve 1 during a sliding motion. The guide rail mechanism 9 is set for the sliding movement range from the neutral position of the coupling sleeve 1 at least to the position where a coupling sleeve chamfer comes into contact with a balk-ring chamfer.
