PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication method for a comparatively difficult-to-find sum value of Motorola S data without newly providing a dedicated command in time of communication of the Motorola S data to peripheral equipment from a PC. SOLUTION: The sum value of the Motorola S data is communicated by use of: an encoding means dividing the Motorola S data to be transmitted into prescribed blocks in time of the transmission of the Motorola S data to the peripheral equipment, and encoding correspondence relation between transmission order of Motorola S records and addressing order of the Motorola S records inside the block; and a decoding means dividing the received Motorola S data into the prescribed blocks in time of reception of the Motorola S data to the peripheral equipment from the PC, and decoding the correspondence relation between the addressing order of the Motorola S records and arrival order of the Motorola S records inside the block.
