PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diaphragm for an electroacoustic transducer employing a wooden sheet, which can prevent the generation of a break on the wooden sheet in a mold during press hot molding and prevent burning of a lubricant on the mold during press hot molding. SOLUTION: A laminated sheet is formed by laminating a sheet member of the material different from that of the wooden sheet on at least one surface of a single wooden sheet. This laminated sheet is immersed in an aqueous solution containing a penetrating agent or an aqueous solution containing a penetrating agent and a wetting agent, and is molded into a predetermined shape as a diaphragm by press hot molding.
