PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver capable of easily and automatically receiving a favorite broadcast program for a user and reproducing it on a display without troubling the user. SOLUTION: A controller 9 checks whether an auto replay mode has been enabled and whether a program has been reserved in a program reservation portion 13 according to program specification information. When the auto replay mode has been enabled and the program has been reserved in the program reservation portion 13 according to program specification information, the controller monitors a reservation time based on the reservation of program specification information received and selected at broadcasting or transmission from a broadcast station. When the reservation time based on the reservation of program specification information comes, the power is turned on/off based on that reservation and a tuner 2 selects a reserved program according to the reservation of program specification information for program watching and hearing so that the digital broadcasting receiver can select favorite broadcast programs for users in the order predetermined by a transmitting side.
