PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of automatically discriminating that a liquid crystal display panel reaches a stable state without adding new components thereto as far as possible. SOLUTION: A control circuit 8 discriminates whether the change in the differenceΔT of the detection temperatures of two temperature sensors 18a, 18b detecting each temperature of two partial regions obtained by dividing the display region of a liquid crystal panel 21 in a vertical direction in the case of an adjustment mode lies within a prescribed temperature range or not in a prescribed time, thereby automatically discriminating whether the liquid crystal panel 21 reaches the state stable in terms of temperature or not (S12). Further, when the control circuit 8 discriminates that the panel 21 reaches the stable state, the video of a title g1 to be displayed on the liquid crystal panel 21 is changed over to a flickering state (S13).
